Issue no. 71 features a dossier of five articles on the theory, principle and philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a set of works from the Spring Conferences 2022 in partnership with the Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre in Lisbon.

Issue no. 70 celebrates the bicentenary of A Abelha da China, the first Portuguese-language newspaper in Macao and the first foreign-language newspaper in China.

Spring Festival is the most important and grandest traditional festival in China, embodying the Chinese people’s yearning for a better life. The exhibition Auspicious Beginning: Spring Festival Traditions in the Forbidden City features cultural relics related to Spring Festival culture in the Qing court from the Palace Museum’s collection. This is the exhibition catalogue that includes images of nearly all the 120 pieces/sets of exhibits, supplemented by research materials and papers. The catalogue has four sections: ‘Auspicious Invocation’, ‘Filial Sacrifice and Imperial Kinship’, ‘Family, Country and the World’, and ‘Winter Recreation’.

Macao is a distinctive city where the East meets the West and where multiple cultures coexist, thus giving vigour to the dissemination of the profound Chinese culture. Among the many items of long-standing and profound folk cultural heritage, the belief and customs of Tou Tei (土地 Tudi/ Earth God) undoubtedly demonstrate the beauty of the Chinese people’s respect for nature and the harmony of the community. A wide variety of Tou Tei altars scattered in the city and the small altars served in households both show the vibrancy of the traditional Chinese culture that has taken root and flourished in Macao and the universality of the Tou Tei belief and customs in the city.

“Artworks of the members of Macao Artist Society 2022” presents the artworks of 182 members of the Macao Artist Society, featuring a wide variety of Chinese and Western works with a wealth of different themes. Traditional Chinese art spirit is represented by works in ink and wash, calligraphy, and seal carving, whereas traditional Western art forms like watercolour, oil painting, and sketching, as well as mixed media, sculpture, and ceramics, demonstrate that how different contemporary art forms have merged and developed in Macao. Readers will be able to experience the fresh look of local creative production via this catalogue.

Resultado de quase uma década de investigações primárias em bibliotecas e arquivos centrais, regionais e privados da França, esta obra em quatro demorados volumes publica e estuda uma impressiva colecção de 295 memórias textuais de Macau escritas entre 1609 e 1900. Reúnem-se a 20 textos do século XVII, 57 do século XVIII, pertencendo os restantes em número de 97 à primeira metade do século XIX para 121 da segunda metade de oitocentos. Produzidos pelos mais diferentes autores e editores, estendendo-se por prestigiados viajantes marítimos a missionários, militares, diplomatas, médicos da marinha, geógrafos, jornalistas, cientistas ou os primeiros assumidos turistas, estas memórias em viagem por Macau iluminam os mais diversos aspectos da vida social, económica, das gentes e dos espaços que tornaram Macau um território fundamental para o acesso da França ao grande império do meio. Se alguns destes autores são tão humildes como o tanoeiro Laurentin-Justin Dessales que ditou porque quase não sabia escrever o que viu de Macau em 1838, outros textos trazem o prestígio dos escritores e ensaístas maiores como Chrétien-Louis Joseph de Guignes, Agricol-Joseph Fortia D’Urban, Jean-Ferdinand Denis, Léon Gozlan, René de Pont-Jest, Philibert Audebrand, Louis Henri Boussenard, Paul Bonnetain ou mesmo do grande Honoré de Balzac que mobilizou o melhor da sua prosa para contar em 1842 a legenda do templo de A-Má visto e admirado nas telas do seu íntimo amigo, o pintor Auguste Borget que teve a sorte de ser encontrado em Valparaíso pelo grande comerciante de ópio e de cules muito bem instalado em Macau que foi o poderoso Jean Antoine Durand. Volumes muito ocupados a editar com rigor estas 295 memórias que, deslindando autorias e apurando os seus sentidos narrativos, oferecem também aos leitores vários outros capítulos em que se estuda sobretudo com as metódicas da história cultural a oceânica atenção intelectual, diplomática e política que aproximou sucessivamente a França de Macau, culminando até 1859 com a activa presença dos seus embaixadores nomeados para ministros plenipotenciários na China que transformaram a legação francesa na cidade num dos principais espaços de sociabilidade elitária e cosmopolita epocais. Se entre 1857 e 1862 a ofensiva colonial francesa na Indochina e a sua participação militar na chamada segunda guerra do ópio ergueram mesmo um hospital militar em Macau, tratando mais de 2000 feridos franceses, o profundo interesse da França pela pequena terra do delta do rio das Pérolas mobilizava enorme atenção tanto da imprensa diária quanto de muitas revistas científicas e literárias que, a cruzar a esta biblioteca única de memórias vezes 295, ajudam a perceber quanto a imaginação francesa da cidade, das suas pessoas e coisas contribuiu generosamente para escorar a representação cultural com que se foi seleccionando em textos e imagéticas o que se queria destacar como património e história de Macau. Não admira, por isso, que estes textos tenham mesmo sido lidos por autores portugueses para neles encontrarem a representação cultural de Macau que ficou.

Issue no. 69 features the planned transformation and expansion of the Macao urban landscape from the mid-nineteenth century to the early twentieth century.

《葡萄牙人在華見聞錄》收錄了由方濟各‧沙勿略神父、貝爾西奧神父、加里奧特‧佩雷拉、加斯帕爾‧達‧克斯修士、若奧‧德‧巴洛士及費爾南‧門德斯‧平托等人撰寫關於16世紀來華葡萄牙人在中國所見所聞的一些記錄，這些記錄原為葡文，由王鎖瑛女士進行輯錄、翻譯及校註。王女士為葡萄牙中華文化之友協會會長，原為阿威羅大學教師及研究生導師，長期從事中葡雙語教學翻譯及研究工作。 16世紀初，葡萄牙人終於到達了名為“大明”的大中華帝國。他們來自古老的歐洲，卻發現這裡的世界更古老；他們來自文明的國度，卻發現這裡的文化更燦爛；他們來自發達的國度，卻發現這裡的經濟更繁榮。當時來華的葡萄牙人包括神父、商人等均對中國的風土人情感到耳目一新，因而不吝筆墨，紛紛執筆寫下自已的所見所聞，並異口同聲地讚歎當時的中國是一個近乎完美的理想世界。他們的描寫細緻入微，栩栩如生，使讀者們感受到仿佛是在觀看一幕幕已知或未知的舞臺劇。

From ancient times to the present, porcelain is the most commonly used ware by ordinary people in their everyday life, and also the main utensil in the royal court of the past dynasties. In the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), the court used a large scale of ceramics for decorative items, sacrificial offerings, religious rituals, and internal and external tributes. Thus, the imperial kiln porcelain was one of the symbols that highlight the emperor’s absolute authority. The hardcover catalogue of the Quintessence of Imperial Kiln Porcelain of the Ming Dynasty from the Palace Museum Collection contains images of all the items showcased in the exhibition, as well as the research materials for each exhibit. At the same time, it also includes a thesis written by expert of the Palace Museum on imperial kiln porcelain in the Ming Dynasty. The catalogue presents a selection of 120 pieces (sets) of representative artworks from the imperial porcelain kiln produced in the Hongwu to Wanli periods (1368–1620) of the Ming Dynasty, according to the order of their production times.

《城市印記 - 澳門檔案館館藏地圖精選》書中收錄的設計圖、規劃圖、供水管圖、水文圖和地圖，具體地展示了1880年代至1980年代一百年間澳門城市的現代化歷程。

The clothing culture of the Qing emperors and empresses embodies the Chinese nation’s ritual and etiquette system, religious beliefs, traditions and customs developed over thousands of years. The hardcover catalogue Stately Demeanour: Costumes of Qing Emperors and Empresses from the Collection of the Palace Museum contains images of all items showcased in the exhibition. The catalogue presents a total of 87 pieces (sets) of artefacts in five sections: official costumes, festive costumes, regular costumes, travel and military costumes, and leisure costumes.

He Duoling is one of the best oil painting artists in China in the contemporary era. The Rebirth in the Spring Breeze: Art Exhibition of He Duoling showcases 48 pieces/sets of sketches and oil paintings which cover various periods of He's artistic pursuit, including his new works in 2019. From these exhibits, visitors will catch a glimpse of his artistic development and feel his vigorous and endless creativity.

This paperback catalogue contains images of all items showcased in the exhibition ‘Wandering across the Landscape: Collection of the Macao Museum of Art’ as well as relevant articles. The catalogue features over 160 items in the collection, which were created by foreign artists between the 17th and the 21th centuries to represent the landscape of Macao, and comprises three sections: ‘Topographical Images: Prints from the 17th to the 19th Centuries’, ‘Chinnery’s Shadow: The Artist, His Companions and Students’ and ‘Traces of Modern Art: Works from the 20th to the 21st Centuries’. The catalogue brings together the artistic footprints left in Macao by artists from different regions, from paintings made by painters of Western diplomatic corps and travelling artists in earlier times to oil paintings, ink paintings, prints, sculptures and video installations produced by foreign artists in the 21st century with a modernist or contemporary touch.

This catalogue features artist Carlos Marreiros’ latest large-scale artwork “Red December” and a series of paintings from his sketchbooks. “Red December”, a large composition embedded with detail, visualises the utopia in the artist’s mind. In addition, the paintings from his sketchbooks give an account of the artist’s creative and reflective process over the years, allowing the audience to take a close look at his sources of inspiration.

《小城大夢——寫給孩子的澳門故事》收錄澳門及內地八位作家所著的兒童文學作品，通過講述澳門少年兒童在學習、生活等方面的故事，把多項非物質文化遺產串聯成人們熟悉的日常生活。故事主題包括澳門回歸、澳門世界遺產、港珠澳大橋、澳門國際龍舟賽、魚行醉龍節、粵劇及涼茶等。該書定位於孩子的成長，將視角對準澳門生活的少年兒童，書寫他們的所思所想，並以小見大，展現澳門人內在的文化自信，以及澳門自古至今為中華文化傳承做出的努力與擔當，為澳門及內地青少年讀者展現真正的澳門魅力。

本書接續2011年出版之《新世紀澳門華文劇場》，修訂及增加2012至2018年的澳門演藝資料，分別從澳門劇場的整體環境改變、澳門劇團的發展與創新，以及澳門華文劇場專題研究三方面，對新世紀以來澳門華文戲劇的發展作深入淺出的分析及梳理，力求多角度展現澳門最新的劇場形態與現象，為澳門戲劇研究提供嶄新的視野。

《歐風遺蹤 - 澳門聖若瑟修院與教堂》為暨南大學澳門研究院院長葉農教授所著。全書以史實為據、以通俗為文，深入淺出地介紹了聖若瑟修院及教堂的建築特色、創辦的緣起變遷、辦學期間的文化藝術活動，以及當時經學院所培養的澳門各界名人等，並於文末介紹了聖若瑟修院藏珍館所藏的一批珍貴文物。全書附有多幅珍貴插圖，讓讀者能快速及全面地了解聖若瑟修院與教堂的過去與現在。

1829年，一位年輕的美國女子與她的嬸嬸和叔叔來到中國沿海地區的歐洲人圈住地，並在澳門生活的五年時間裡寫下了日記，這些日記不僅讓她的個性躍然紙上，也為我們描繪了當時澳門生活的豐富圖景。

This book is published in Chinese, Portuguese and English with excellent pictures and text. It introduces the fact that before the 20th century, Taipa and Coloane were islands surrounded by the sea, while the northern tip of the Macao Peninsula connected to mainland China. After the mid-19th century Macao gradually extended to the sea through land reclamation, which increased land resources and profoundly affected the overall development of Macao.

The Long Journey: The Forbidden City and Maritime Silk Road features a total of nearly 150 exquisite cultural relics from the collection of the Palace Museum related to the Maritime Silk Road. These cultural relics highlight the rich fruits of the Ming and Qing courts’ exchanges and interactions with the outside world, illustrating the splendour of the Forbidden City culture in fine contrast with other cultures along the Maritime Silk Road.

A compilation of António Mil-Homens indelible memories of Macao, with Chinese and English translation. The 30 pictures in this book visually illustrate what the poet has experienced in Macao and how he feels about the place, leading us to understand what he thinks about this piece of land that welcomed him.

This book is published in Chinese, Portuguese and English. The image depicts Western Xia on the Silk Road. Western Xia was founded in 1038 AD, and lies along the Eastern belt of the Hexi Corridor. In its heyday, the area spanned the entire Ningxia Autonomous Region, some part of province of Gansu, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Shaanxi, there is one way of speaking, “East to Yellow River, West to Yumen, South to Xiaoguan and North to desert”. In the early period, Western Xia was compared to the Northern Song Dynasty and the Liao Dynasty, and later confronted with the Southern Song Dynasty and the Jin Dynasty, which lasted 190 years and passed through ten emperors. Even later, the splendid culture of Western Xia disappeared together, but as of the 20th Century, and with the emergence of documents and relics, understanding of the Western Xia People has emerged as a valuable treasure.

目標讀者為澳門小學生、兒童及其家長，繪本以冼星海成長、學習及音樂事業發展為主題，設有多個創意、互動機關，以生動有趣的方式讓兒童讀者認識冼星海，加深對祖國的認識。

This catalogue contains 32 works showcased in "Strolling and Feeling: Watercolour paintings of Lai Ieng" exhibition. The author has created those watercolours when he walked through the streets and alleys of Macao, and travelled across the islands over the years. Both well-known landmarks and unremarkable small corners have become his inspirational painting themes. When leafing through this catalogue, it is hoped that the readers can follow the artist's sketching footprints, and through his paintings pay renewed attention to sceneries in their surroundings, discovering the little joy in life while exploring the city''''s charming landscapes from a local perspective.

The collection of “Official Records of Macao During the Qing Dynasty (1693-1886)” jointly nominated by the Archives of Macao and the National Archive of Torre do Tombo of Portugal has been inscribed by the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) onto the Memory of the World Register on 30 October 2017. The records are reflections on the conditions of the society, the people's lives, urban development, trade and commerce, etc. of Macao during the Qing Dynasty. In addition, they represent the significance of Macao to the world. The exhibition will showcase a selection of over one hundred records to share stories which, though took place in Macao, are of historical relevance to China, Portugal and even major developments in world history. It is expected that a cross referencing of the records with related images and documents can help to construct a vivid picture of Macao during the Qing Dynasty.

This paperback catalogue includes images of all items from the exhibition ‘Love of Macao: Photographs by Lee Kung Kim’, featuring over 150 masterpieces themed around Macao.
