To mark the centenary of the birth of Henrique de Senna Fernandes, the journal presents this special issue offering an exploration of the literary genre, aesthetic output, sociological perspective, and the distinctive feminine representation in his works.

Issue no. 72 highlights three works that were presented during the 2nd Annual Conference of Macao Studies 2022. The first two articles, respectively through an analysis of music pieces and cinematographic productions, discuss Macao’s cultural identity before and after the handover and respective changes in the social fabric. The third article is centred on a colonial feminist theory and the discourse of women in the 19th century, through an analysis of the first American female missionary visiting Macao.

Issue no. 71 features a dossier of five articles on the theory, principle and philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a set of works from the Spring Conferences 2022 in partnership with the Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre in Lisbon.
