Duet[LCH1] of Nature: Ming and Qing Landscape Paintings from the National Museum of China presents a selection of 65 landscape paintings from the museum’s National Museum of China’s collection, spanning the 15th to 19th centuries. Organised into two sections -– ‘Exploring Magnificent Landscapes’ and ‘Expressing Sentiments through Through Nature’, the exhibition showcases the richness and diversity of Ming and Qing dynasty Chinese landscape paintings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, while exploring the interplay between realism and spirituality, depiction and inner experience, topography and brushwork, nature and abstraction, and representation and expression. The show exhibition offers a broad overview of classical Chinese landscape art.
